“… funny guy … “

North Korea’s dictator was recently described in glowing terms: “very talented man … wants to do the right thing … very worthy, very smart negotiator … excellent relationship … funny guy … loves his people … great personality … a great honor … very special bond … I do trust him.”

The New York Times – based on a United Nations report – recently delineated how the dear leader shows love for his people:

“…extermination, murder, enslavement, torture, imprisonment, rape, forced abortions and other sexual violence, persecution on political, religious, racial and gender grounds, the forcible transfer of populations, the enforced disappearance of persons and the inhumane act of knowingly causing prolonged starvation.”

  • The United Nations estimates that 120,000 political prisoners, without trial, are in prison camps where they are forced to work, tortured raped and some are executed. The inmate population in North Korea’s political prison camps starved “to increase the pressure on them to confess and to incriminate other persons,” and to keep the prisoner numbers in check.
  • Otto Warmbie

University of Virginia student Otto Warmbier was sentenced to 15 years in prison with hard labor after trying to steal a propaganda sign from a North Korea hotel where he was staying. He was returned to the U.S. after it emerged he had been in a coma since he was jailed in March 2016. He died within days of coming home.

  • North Koreans are subjected to an indoctrination machine beginning in childhood to insure absolute obedience to their leader.
  • Independent thought is crushed and incessant propaganda glorifies the state and incites nationalistic hatred toward official enemies like Japan and the United States.
  • Since taking power in 2011, Kim Jong-un has ordered the execution of more than 340 people. The deputy premier of education was placed in front of a firing squad after showing “disrespectful posture” in a meeting. An armed-forces general, who fell asleep during a meeting, was killed with an anti-aircraft gun. Kim’s uncle, convicted of treason, after being shot by anti-aircraft guns, was incinerated with flamethrowers. Another uncle was stripped naked and, along with five aides, locked inside a metal cage. The dear leader and his lackeys watched as a pack of hounds, not fed for three days, were put into the cage and mauled and devoured the hapless victims.
  • Kim Jong-nam – after and before

Kim’s estranged brother, Kim Jong-nam, was killed last year near a check-in counter at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Security cameras recorded two women walking up to him and rubbing a substance on his face — a chemical warfare agent known as VX. He died within minutes.

  • Christians are barred from practicing their religion. Those caught doing so are sent to prison camps.

“Really, he’s got a great personality. He’s a funny guy, he’s very smart, he’s a great negotiator. He loves his people, not that I’m surprised by that, but he loves his people.”
